Harstra K8 drying cabinet for protective gear

K6

PPE drying cabinet

Key features:

K6 – Multi-PPE Drying Cabinet

The K6 drying cabinet is a wide and versatile dryer, made for drying protective clothing and small PPE items. With space for 6–9 coats or pants—and room for optional frames—it offers more flexibility than the compact K3. Place the wet gear inside and let the drying cabinet do the work. Built-in sensors detect when the PPE is fully dry and shut the system off automatically. The automatic drying cycle takes approximately 2 hours. Time-based drying is also available.

The main advantage of a drying cabinet compared to a tumble dryer is the significantly reduced wear and tear.

Can dry

  • Protective clothing (coats, jackets, pants)
  • Small PPE items (gloves, masks, boots) — with optional frames

Cannot dry

  • SCBAs (choose the M45B)

Before drying

Only place protective clothing and small PPE in the cabinet after the items have been properly cleaned and disinfected. The K6 is designed for drying only.

About the K-series

  • K3 – compact cabinet for up to 3 coats or pants
  • K6 – wider cabinet, suitable for drying clothing plus small PPE
  • K8 – same height as K3, wider capacity (6–9 coats or pants)
  • K10 – tall cabinet for 10 coats/pants or 5 coveralls

Recommendations

For drying SCBAs, choose the M45B.
For a mix of turnout gear and small PPE items, choose the K6.
For dedicated small-PPE drying, use the M18 (compact) or M45 (large).
For drying a combination of SCBAs and small PPE, consider the F12 or M45B.
